The story behind the build
I run a small video production studio, and my old i7-9700K was choking on 4K timelines. This build is built around the 265K because Intel's Quick Sync keeps Premiere and DaVinci responsive during scrubbing, and the 20 cores chew through renders.
The Define 7 is the hero of this build — it is whisper quiet even under a 45-minute export, which matters when you record voiceovers in the same room. The capture card was a late addition that made client review calls dramatically easier.
Budget note: I skipped RGB entirely and put that money into 64GB of RAM and the second NVMe. For editing work, both matter far more than aesthetics.
